Companies Act 2006
Companies House are warning company directors to Act one month earlier, when filing your accounts. Perversely they also state that the new Companies Act is "designed to make running a business simpler", even though you have less time to file your accounts.

The reduction only applies to "accounting periods beginning on or after April 6, 2008" so there is time to prepare for the fact that your abbreviated accounts must be submitted within nine months of your year end as opposed to the present ten months.

Just one other thing - make sure your accountant is prepared for the change!
